Remote Design Service
Transform your space with ease. All the benefits of a one-on-one relationship with your designer delivered digitally.
How it works
-
An initial conversation via FaceTime to get to know your needs and identify the scope of the project. We dive in to specifics, covering questions aimed at creating a practical design narrative that will include, generally-speaking, product sourcing, specifications, layouts/schematics and a delivery timeline.
-
Once you are ready to forge ahead, I will provide you a short contract for your review that will outline the expectations for our working relationship. It will include basic terms and payment details, and is aimed at fomenting an open and transparent working relationship that all parties feel comfortable participating in. Once you review the terms, your signature and initial payment will officially mark the commencement of our work together.
-
In order for me to develop your personalized design, create layouts, and elaborate a comprehensive proposal, I will need some help from you in the form of basic measurements and photos. The spatial dimensions help ensure a balance of scale and proportion, and, along with the pictures, help me understand how the space is experienced, including lighting aspects and the flow of traffic. Blueprints are most helpful, if you have them.
-
At this point, I send you a design proposal that responds to the information gathered during Steps 1 and 2 for your review and schedule a time for us to discuss them in detail. If tweaks are needed, I gather your feedback and set up another time to discuss revisions before moving on to the next step.
-
Once a course of action is agreed upon, we move into product selection, purchasing and delivery coordination. I also provide you the guidance (written and/or illustrated, as relevant) to flawlessly implement your design, as well as, if necessary, to hire help for things like painting and the installation of art or other fixtures. I am also available by phone and video call in case questions or new ideas arise.
